Description
Milano fu fondata intorno al 400 a.C. dai Galli Insubri, una tribù celtica che si stabilì lungo le sponde del fiume Po. Nel 196 a.C. fu occupata dai romani che le diedero il nome di Mediolanum per la sua posizione geografica, strategica per le rotte commerciali e per ostacolare le invasioni barbariche.
