Description
𝐃𝐞𝐮𝐭𝐬𝐜𝐡𝐞 𝐃𝐞𝐦𝐨𝐤𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐬𝐜𝐡𝐞 𝐑𝐞𝐩𝐮𝐛𝐥𝐢𝐤 𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐂𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐜𝐢𝐥 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐢𝐫𝐦𝐚𝐧: eiretac 𝐆𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭: Unitary Marxist–Leninist one-party socialist republic 𝐀𝐧𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐦: Risen from Ruin 𝐋𝐨𝐫𝐞 Following years of stagnation and Soviet support, the government of the DDR finally broke free of the Warsaw Pact in 1990 and the communist state was soon abolished. What came afterwards was a long debate on the kind of regime that should replace it. Many initially hoped that the DDR could join the existing Western government, but an economic downturn coupled with opposition within the EU crushed the idea. In early 1992, the provisional regime was made official. The German Democratic Republic would continue in its communist roots, however it adapted a tolerance to capitalism, and thus the country unofficially transformed to a state capitalist system. When the provisional regime was to expire, the leader vowed to continue, eliminating any multiparty system.
