The Ministries that make up the Royal Government are responsible for upholding the law, maintaining order, and ensuring the welfare and education of Siamese civilians. Two prominent bodies administrate the government: the Privy Council and the Council of Ministers. Each body is occupied by members of the royal family and senior nobility of the kingdom. The Privy Council handles legislative affairs, and the King exercises his power through this council.
