Description
The 1. Polish Corps in Russia under gen. leut. Józef Dowbor-Muśnicki was formed in 1917 in the Russian Provisional Government. In december 1917 the Corps was going to be sent to fight the Germans on the Eastern Front, but due to the situation in Russia and the Bolshevik-German armistice later on, the Corps retreated to Poland and then fought the Communists a few years later.
