Having been humiliated and pressured under the threat of revolt, the Emperor Wowhelm II abdicated from the throne, resulting in the creation of a Republic. In the early days instability was rampant, however, there was still hope for a stable nation. Coalitions in the government between moderates were quickly formed to ensure the safety of the young Republic. Economic troubles have recently spurred on the rise of many divisive and radical parties who seek to transform Dogeland in their own image. Street clashes have become commonplace and political assassinations are becoming a far more popular tactic.
