Description
The legal branch of the US Navy is known as the Judge Advocate General Corps, or JAGC. Officers in this division are not only accomplished attorneys but also devoted members of the Navy. Their job is to serve as the Navy's legal compass, giving commanders vital counsel to make sure every choice complies with laws, rules, and regulations. The JAGC is on the case when there is a legal issue to be resolved, whether it pertains to international law, military justice, or private legal issues involving sailors. As the defenders of law and justice, they ensure that the Navy follows the law. The JAGC is there to support sailors with their personal legal requirements as well as court-martial processes. They combine legal skill with a strong sense of duty to maintain the Navy's integrity and justice.
