The ancestors of the Grosvenor family migrated to England following the Norman Conquest of 1066. Queen Victoria Created and bestowed the Duke of Westminster title upon Hugh Grosvenor in 1874 and the family has held the title since then. The current Duchess of Westminster is her Grace, Clara Leonora Grosvenor.
