Description
You stumble blindly through the frigid woods, the soles of your boots catching on brush and thorns as you hasten on the lost path. Your heart skips a beat as the illustrious snow-covered sod fades into darkness, the moonlight ceasing to shine on the path. Fighting icy tears, out of breath you start screaming. "Someone help me! Please! Anyone! Is anyone out there?" The only response is the wind in the thick of the trees. You can hardly breathe, for you've been running so long the chilly air burns in your throat, the panic in your chest tightening as another eerie howl echoes, a mirage in the pitch black of night. A small light blooms from the nothingness. You gasp in amazement as the light flickers, swaying back and forth. A cabin! "Oh, thank God!" You cry, exasperated. You rush up to the door and find it ajar before slipping in, silent, pray tell. As your back slides against the sturdy oak of the door in unalloyed relief, you wonder- What awaits you in the refuge of Whispering Willows?
