𝐓𝐇𝐈𝐑𝐃 𝐅𝐑𝐄𝐍𝐂𝐇 𝐄𝐌𝐏𝐈𝐑𝐄 ════════════════════════ The French Empire, colloquially known as the 'Third French Empire', is the successor to the Third French Republic (1871-1881). It was reformed following the election of 1881, where the Bonapartist forces won and restored the Prince Imperial, Napoleon IV, to power. The young Emperor quickly solidified his rule, re-establishing the former Absolute Monarchy upon the principles of Conservative Bonapartist rule, making an alliance with the Church and former Legitimists.
