Description
After the allies occupied Germany in 1945, it was split into East and West. The West was controlled by NATO, while the East (GDR) was controlled by the Soviet Union; it formed part of the Warsaw Pact and was an independent nation in the UN. During the cold war, the GDR's secret service was planning to detach the nation from the soviet bloc in order to become a fully independent, authoritarion police state.
