🐎DRABANTERNA ⭐"DE TAPPRASTE BLAND DE TAPPRE" 𝐀𝐁𝐎𝐔𝐓 The Kungliga Majestäts Drabanter traces its origins to the royal guard formations established during the 17th century, developing into an elite bodyguard unit directly attached to the Swedish monarch. Under Charles XI, the Drabant Corps was reorganized and strenghtened, and by the reign of Charles XII it had become one of the most prestigious and distinguished formations of the Swedish Army. The Drabanterna accompanied the king throughout the Great Northern War, serving both as his personal guard and as an elite combat unit. They fought in many of the major campaigns of the war, including the Battles of Narva in 1700, Klissow in 1702, Holowczyn in 1708, and Poltava in 1709. Throughout the conflict, the Drabanterna became renowned for their exceptional discipline, loyalty, and courage, earning a reputation as among the most formidable cavalrymen in the Carolean Army.
