Description
The Seljuk Empire or Great Seljuk Empire 1094AD was founded and ruled by the Qïnïq, a tribe of Oghuz Turks, during the High Middle Ages. Professing Sunni under the Turko-Persian tradition, it spanned a total area of Anatolia and the Levant in the west to the Red Sea in the east, and from Central Asia in the north to the Persian Gulf in the south.
