2. Pommersches Landwehr-Infanterie-Regiment #15701574
Description
Three Landwehr regiments were raised in Pomerania in 1813, recruits were taken from all fit men between the ages of 17 and 40 although married men were often excluded. Equipment at the beginning of the campaign was basic and some men were armed with pikes, but losses and captured French stores solved this problem. While the Landwehr performed poorly at the beginning of the campaign by the end many of the battalions fought well and some were considered as good as the line regiments.
