Hello, Welcome to the PTFS USS Gerald R. Ford Naval Aviation Group. In this group we train PTFS Pilots to be the BEST Naval Aviators they can be. In order to be a Backup Pilot you must pass Basic Naval Aviation Training and Safety Course (BNATSC). From there you can tryout for squadrons as the squads Junior Squad. You can either Exceed a squadron member and take there spot on the squadron or wait until a squadron pilot retires. In order to be a Special Forces Pilot you must be a Squadron Leader for 5 Months then ask for a tryout or you will be selected by skill to start your journey. The people selected must pass tryouts as well. The Special Forces Aircraft will be given to you after you pass tryouts or selected.
