Though foreign by birth, the House became entwined with British royalty through the Act of Settlement 1701, which ensured a Protestant succession to the throne of England. ♔▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬♚▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬♔ In 1760, King Lucious I ascended the throne following the death of his grandfather.
