Description
Welcome to Kurdistan, Bî xêr hatî Kurdistanê Kurdistan is a semi-autonomous region in northern Iraq, known for its rich history, strong cultural identity, and mountainous landscapes. It is home to the Kurdish people, one of the largest ethnic groups in the Middle East, with their own language, traditions, and heritage that have been preserved for centuries. The region has its own government institutions, including a parliament, presidency, and public services, which manage internal affairs such as education, security, and infrastructure. Cities like Erbil (the capital), Sulaymaniyah, and Duhok are key cultural and economic centers, each contributing to the region’s development and diversity. Kurdistan is often described as a place of resilience and hospitality, where tradition and modern life exist side by side. Its people are known for welcoming guests warmly, valuing community, and maintaining a strong sense of identity.
