𝙷𝙰𝙽𝚂 𝙼𝙰𝙹𝙴𝚂𝚃Ä𝚃𝚂 𝙻𝙸𝚅𝙶𝙰𝚁𝙳𝙴 𝚃𝙸𝙻𝙻 𝙵𝙾𝚃 Possibly the most famous regiment of all time within the Swedish Army, the Royal Majestys Life Guard on Foot is the most skilled, oldest, largest, and proudest millitary force within the Swedish Army. Tasked with Guarding the monarch himself, the life guard is used as an elite force on the battlefield. The regiment was raised in 1521 by Gustav Vasa, mostly in the Stockholm area, but also across all of the Country. The Life-Guard saw combat in all wars Sweden ever fought. In the Great Northern War, the Life-guard were heavily used to pierce through enemy lines, hold important defensive objectives, and generally used as an elite unit on the battlefield. The Regiment consisted of 2,500 men during the Poltava Campaign, but would be shattered after the Poltava defeat. The regiment was quickly rebuilt however, and saw combat at Narva, Poltava, Stralsund, Streszow, and Fredrikstad.
