𝗧𝗥𝗨𝗣𝗘𝗟𝗘 𝗗𝗘 𝗙𝗥𝗢𝗡𝗧𝗜𝗘𝗥𝗔 𝗥𝗢𝗠𝗔𝗡𝗘 𝗦𝗬𝗡𝗢𝗣𝗦𝗜𝗦 : Trupеle de Frontieră or Granicerii were the border guards of Romania during the Cold War period. They were responsible for protecting and patrolling the country's borders, including the monitoring of cross-border movement, preventing illegal immigration, smuggling and other border-related crimes, as well as ensuring the security of the country's frontiers. They were controlled by the state and were an important part of the country's internal security apparatus during the Cold War era.
