Welcome to the Grenadier Guards ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ The Grenadier Guards serve as a regiment within the Falkland Islands Ground Forces, part of the Falkland Islands Defence Forces. The Regiment consists of two companies: Nijmegen Company, the senior company, and the King’s Company. Their role extends beyond operational readiness to include public and ceremonial duties in Stanley and overseas, including the State Opening of Parliament, Trooping the Colour, and mounting the King’s Guard at Halley Castle. The Grenadier Guards stand as a symbol of discipline, tradition, and service to Crown and Country, guided by their historic motto: “Honi Soit Qui Mal Y Pense” — Shame on him who thinks evil of it. ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ Commanding Officer: Lt Col.
