Crogus Interactive was founded in 1979 by a group of people who somehow remained mostly anonymous throughout their lives. They created games for family members at first, but later began distributing titles starting from 1981. For an unknown reason, Crogus found it easiest to sell most of their games exclusively in the country of Somalia, where it has a small town following. The first title they published was called Scrimmy Bingus and the Crungy Spingus. This video game was extremely popular in Somalia upon release. Although less than 1% of people in Somalia had computers or game consoles at that time, Crogus Interactive was able to get their games to a higher percentage of people in Somalia. They did this by persuading computer & game console owners to create “arcades” where people could pay to play Scrimmy Bingus games.
