British Army 1940s ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ Formed in 1660 during the English Civil War, the British Army is the main land component of His Majesty's British Armed Forces. The British Army is among the most professional armies in the world, at the height of the second world war they were one of the strongest military powers internationally with the help of the British Commonwealth, with volunteers sent from areas such as the British Raj, Australia & Canada to assist with the ongoing European conflict. During the conflict the British Army formed eight of it's own army groups which had their own respective divisions, with an attempt for the reformation of the British Expeditionary Force which was the ninth army initially was successful however quickly disbanded after the surrender of the Third French Republic in 1940 to advancing German forces. ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ British Army for MonkeDecoded's British Forces 1940's.
