The Hyūga Clan are descendants of Hamura Ōtsutsuki and distant cousins of the Uchiha, Senju, and Uzumaki clans. They are better known as one of the four noble clans of Konohagakure, currently being the strongest clan in the village. Members of the Hyūga clan are either born into the Main Family, which runs the clan; or the Branch Family which protects the Main Family. Having Hamura's blood and DNA, The Hyūga Clan are gifted with a Byakugan at birth, one of the three great dōjutsu. The Byakugan is a kekkei genkai that forms in the user's eyes and allows for a massive field of vision and the ability to see and block chakra points. The Hyūga Clan practice the art of the gentle fist which is a fighting style that focuses on the Byakugan's abilities to see and block chakra points. The gentle fist revolves around the use of hand-to-hand combat. Today, The Hyūga Clan resides peacefully within the Hidden Leaf Village (Konohagakure).
