Description
Republic of the Grey Wedge is a historical region in southwestern Siberia and northern Kazakhstan that was heavily populated by ethnic Ukrainians in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Between 1917 and 1921, a powerful national movement developed here, aimed at creating Ukrainian state autonomy.
