Description
Organized similarly to their French Algerian counterparts, the Zouaves of Death were one of the regiments which still survives from the January Uprising. Founded by a former French Zouave officer in Krakow, the unit became famous for its unwavering commitment to Polish independence. All of its volunteers are bound by oath to never retreat and fights by the motto 'Victory or Death', hence the name. They are fiercely religious and draw a lot of foreign sympathizers for Polish independence particularly from France, Spain, and Italy.
