Description
Raised in the province of Scania, at the very southern end of Sweden in 1794, the Artillery Regiment was one of the newer additions to the Swedish army. It did not participate in the Finnish war, although did participate in the 1813 German campaign, specifically Leipzig. It also partook in the Norwegian 1814 campaign as a support unit. The name derives from the name "Vandals", an ancient people group who inhabited Northern Germany, and partook in the destruction of the Roman Empire
