Raised directly by the former High King and the ruling Ahlgrims to root out feudal nepotism and disloyal provinces, the Imperial Guard is comprised of veteran troops and aspiring soldiers subjected to rigorous standards and constant improvement. Positions and advancement in the Imperial Guard are awarded based on skill, activity, dedication, and veterancy, with equal opportunity for all who join it to make a name for themselves regardless of who they know or their past as long as they commit themselves fully to the Guard.
