Description
The British Indian Ocean Territory (BIOT) is a militarized Overseas Territory situated in the Indian Ocean halfway between Tanzania and Indonesia. The territory comprises the seven atolls of the Chagos Archipelago. The largest and most southerly island is Diego Garcia, the site of a Joint Military Facility of His Majesty's Armed Forces, who are loyal to King George the Great. King George the Great, Commander-in-Chief, is the head of state of BIOT, who is supported by the Lord Protector. The High Commissioner handles day-to-day governance and representation of the military presence along with the Chief of the Defence Staff. The Administrator of the Territory assists the High Commissioner in the day-to-day governance.
