Auftrag der WTD Wehrtechnische Dienststelle 91 Die Wehrtechnische Dienststelle für Waffen und Munition (WTDWehrtechnische Dienststelle 91) ist das Technologiezentrum für Waffen und Munition der Bundeswehr und mit einer Fläche von rund 200 Quadratkilometern der größte instrumentierte Schießplatz Westeuropas. In den Bereichen Ballistik, Akustik, Optronik und Meteorologie verfügt die WTDWehrtechnische Dienststelle 91 über die alleinige Fachkompetenz im Rüstungsbereich. Zudem liegt bei ihr die Projektleitung für die gesamte Fachtechnik des Geoinformationsdienstes der Bundeswehr (GeoInfoDBw). Die WTDWehrtechnische Dienststelle 91 gehört zum Geschäftsbereich des Bundesamtes für Ausrüstung, Informationstechnik und Nutzung der Bundeswehr. Sie befindet sich in Meppen (Niedersachsen) und wurde 1957 gegründet.
