The Gurkhas are renowned for their kukri knives, and have served the Army with pride since 1948. The Royal Gurkha Rifles are part of the Infantry, at the heart of the British Army. It is at the core of the Army’s Ground Close Combat capability. The Gurkhas are trained to out-think, outwit, outmanoeuvre, outfight, and outlast any adversary, anywhere.
