UNITED STATES ARMY "This We'll Defend" MISSION The mission of the United States Army is to deploy, fight, and win our Nation's wars by providing ready, prompt, and sustained land dominance across the full spectrum of conflict as part of the Joint Force. FORCE ACTIVATION The Army is currently executing a large-scale force mobilization. New tactical elements are being activated, creating immediate vacancies for Commissioned Officers and Non-Commissioned Officers (NCOs) to assume command of squads, platoons, and companies. CAREER MANAGEMENT FIELDS Personnel enter the service as Enlisted soldiers. Following Basic Combat Training (BCT), personnel are assigned a Military Occupational Specialty (MOS) aligned with the needs of the Army: Training and Doctrine Command (TRADOC): Responsible for the recruitment and instruction of all Army personnel. Military Police Corps (MP): Conducts policing, security, and detention operations. Forces Command (FORSCOM): The primary combat maneuver element
