His cavalry scouts were instrumental in conquering the Lelmetian Plains and the steppe. Hailing from the Tesian Steppe, the first cavalrymen brought their traditions into Bedraud and created a lasting equestrian community in the Betesi Governorate. It was during the reign of King Barasol that the Corps began in earnest as light skirmishers and raiders, a role which they continue to serve in today.
