Description
The Connecticut State-Wide (Crime) Task Force was established by PA 76-400 as a permanent unit within the Division of State Police. Comprised of state, local, and federal police officers, the task force has the responsibility of enforcing controlled serious crimes statewide. Under the authority granted by the legislation, the Task Force has the power to seek necessary assistance and cooperation from any state, local, or federal agency. Additionally, it has the ability to enter into mutual assistance agreements with other states, extending its reach and effectiveness across state boundaries. The Task Force actively engages in the consultation, exchange of information, and personnel sharing with other law enforcement agencies to ensure a comprehensive and unified approach to combating crime.
