𝐑𝐄𝐆𝐈𝐌𝐄𝐍𝐓 𝐒𝐘𝐍𝐎𝐏𝐒𝐄: A regular infantry regiment of the Kingdom of Bavaria, the 1st was raised in 1778, in Munich, the capital of Bavaria. The regiment was a part of the Bavarian 1st Division in 1812 and under General von Sibein's brigade. Marching into Russia under their colonel, the 1. would see major action alongside the rest of the Bavarian contingent, but eventually, follow Napoleon in his rout from his failed invasion.
