Description
Ahl al-Dhimmah is a term for non-muzlem living in an Ixslamic Kingdom with legal protection. The word literally means "protected person", referring to the state's obligation under Ixslamic Law to protect the individual's life, property, as well as freedom of religion, in exchange for loyalty to the state and payment of the Zaka't tax, in contrast to the zakat, or obligatory alms, paid by the Muzliem subjects. In Brunei, the Dhimmi consist of indigineous tribes that practice Kristian and Animism. Note: only non-muzlem can join this community
