After the country went through a peaceful transformation in 1932 with the promulgation of the Kingdom’s first constitution, sovereign power came to belong to the Thai people, transforming the nation into a constitutional monarchy and with the King as the Head of State. Initially a neutrally aligned nation at the outbreak of WWII, Thailand invaded French Indochina to restore its former territories and later on joined the Empire of Japan as an ally. ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ 𝐆𝐑𝐎𝐔𝐏 𝐈𝐍𝐅𝐎𝐑𝐌𝐀𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍: 𝐄𝐑𝐀: 1939 - 1945 𝐓𝐈𝐌𝐄𝐙𝐎𝐍𝐄: GMT+7, Indochina Time 𝐋𝐀𝐍𝐆𝐔𝐀𝐆𝐄𝐒: Thai, English ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬
