The Infanterie-Regiment Prinz Anton“ was a active Saxon line infantry regiment during the Napoleonic Wars by 1810. It served in Napoleon’s 1812 invasion of Russia as part of the Saxon contingent in the Grande Armée, and Saxon troops also fought in the 1813 campaigns.
