Description
House Bolton “Our Blades Are Sharp” From within the grim walls of the Dreadfort, House Bolton has ruled the eastern reaches of the North for thousands of years. Ancient, feared, and unyielding, the Boltons are among the oldest noble bloodlines in Westeros, their name carrying with it a legacy of dread and ruthless strength. Long before the coming of the dragons, House Bolton stood as powerful rivals to the Kings of Winter, warring against House Stark for dominion over the North. In those ancient days, the Boltons were known as the Red Kings, feared for their cruelty, their flayed banners, and the dark reputation they carved into Northern history. Though ultimately bent to Stark rule, House Bolton survived where many others fell, swearing loyalty to Winterfell while never fully surrendering its pride or ambition.
