Welcome to the Montagu Family- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------- This is only the Manchester branch others include: Sandwich, Brudenel, and Montagu. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Current Head of the Family: Duke of Manchester/Duchess of Manchester --------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The family was founded in Somerset after the Norman Conquest of 1066. The Family's first title was Baron Montagu. More Titles include Duke of Manchester, Earl of Manchester, Viscount Mandeville, Baron Montagu of Kimbolton. The Family still holds a noble position in society. The old residence of the Duke of Manchester was Kimbolton Castle later sold to become a school.
