Description
The first elements of the 6th Marine Regiment began arriving in France in the Fall of 1917 and would see fierce action from Belleau Wood to Blanc Mont Ridge, and would be awarded the French War Cross three times, a high honor. Co A, 1st Bn, 6th Marine Regiment, 2nd Division.
