"Saluto!" The Voluntary Militia for Gabian Security, originally the Voluntary Militia for Imperial Security, is a paramilitary unit under the Planetary Defense Forces, and serves as the Planetary Defense Force of Gabia the capital. The VMGS was originally a paramilitary political militia under the Gabian Social Movement, but surging political violence led the GSM and Prime Minister to push the Emperor into creating a Capital PDF. Thus, the VMGS, by Imperial Decree, was to be the PDF for the planet of Gabia. The VMGS mainly consists of veterans of the Accedia War and is still influenced by the GSM today, but remains dedicated to defending the Gabian capital.
