Description
The Northumberland Fusiliers was a British Infantry Regiment first founded in 1674 and later amalgamated into the Royal Regiment of Fusiliers in 1968. The Northumberland Fusiliers saw service over 3 centuries and the First & Second World War. This regiment was nicknamed “Lord Wellington’s Bodyguards”. The Northumberland Fusiliers was part of a program called the Pals Battalion in The Great War.
