Description
REPUBLICA LIVRE DO CONGO FREE REPUBLIC OF CONGO Capital; Kinshasa The territories of present day Congo & The CAR were both amalgamated under Portugal after their demands were placed in the Berlin Conference. In 1956 a vicious coup broke out under the colonial government to separate from Portugal. Succeeding in 1960, the Congolese Republic faces foreign adversaries and internal saboteurs.
