The world soon finds itself in the midst of an economic crisis, proxy wars, trade wars, skyrocketing crime rates and a resurgent Europe against the prevailing US world order. In the end, brief nuclear exchanges and biological warfare lead to societal collapse, with governments dissolving or becoming authoritarian. In the chaos, corporations rise to power, driving unchecked technological advances. Now, corporate dominance is absolute, and fears of another devastating corporate war loom large.
