Description
La fundación del Cuerpo de Bomberos de Los Andes se remonta al 13 de agosto de 1885, cuando un grupo de distinguidos andinos solicitaron una reunión al gobernador de la época don Darío Risopatrón Cañas, para propiciar la formación de una compañía de bomberos, iniciativa que se concretó al año siguiente, declarándose como fecha oficial de su fundación el 18 de septiembre de 1886, bajo el nombre de “Bomba Andes”. Desde su génesis, los bomberos chilenos representan la simbiosis de un estilo de vida altruista, democrático, profesional y solidario, cultura que se transmite de generación y generación. Por ello se sostiene que los bomberos voluntarios también son parte Patrimonio Vivo de Chile.
