Description
𝐒𝐂𝐎𝐓𝐒 𝐆𝐔𝐀𝐑𝐃𝐒 "No one assails me with impunity" The Third Regiment of Foot Guards, The Scots Guards can trace its history back to 1642 and the Marquis of Argyll’s Royal Regiment which was a response to the Irish Rebellion in 1641. Upon Charles II restoring the crown, the Earl of Lingthgow received a commission to raise a regiment, “The Scottish Regiment of Footguards” in November 1660. After the introduction of the bearskin caps to the Grenadier Guards, the Scots Guards would later adopt these into their uniforms and are still seen today. The Scots Guards have a rich history in battle and have over 90 battle honours throughout their history. The contrast to their ceremonial perfection can be seen throughout many different events televised and on video.
