Description
The Royal Navy is the naval warfare branch of the British Armed Forces. It is one of the oldest navies in the world and dates back to 1660. The Royal Navy consists of a mix of surface ships, submarines, aircraft, and personnel. It is tasked with protecting the United Kingdom, its overseas territories, and interests, promoting stability, and providing humanitarian assistance. The Royal Navy works closely with the Royal Air Force and the British Army in order to coordinate their military efforts globally. It provides security on the high seas and overseas, as well as responding to international crises, ########## and piracy.
