Description
After the First Crusade, a Crusader state called the Kingdom of Jerusalem was founded in the Levant. It lasted for about 200 years, from Bouillon's ascension in 1099 until the assault of Acre in 1291. Starting with its fall following the siege of Jerusalem in 1187 and its restoration following the Third Crusade in 1192, its history can be split into two distinct periods with a brief break in its existence. From 1099 to 1187, the old Kingdom of Jerusalem existed before being nearly completely subjugated by Saladin's Dynasty. It was restored in Acre in 1192 after the Third Crusade. The restored nation is also referred to as the "Second Kingdom of Jerusalem" or, more specifically, as the "Kingdom of Acre" after its new capital. Until two decades that followed the Sixth Crusade, when the Crusaders gained partial authority over Jerusalem thanks to Frederick II diplomacy with the Sultan. Acre remained the nation's capital.

Growth history is still building. We hold one measurement for this entry. A trend needs at least two, taken days apart — so this will fill in on its own rather than being estimated. We do not publish numbers we have not measured.
