𝗔𝗕𝗢𝗨𝗧: After a period of neutrality of more than a year, during which the Kingdom of Romania allowed the evacuation of the Polish government, treasury and forces to Egypt under British rule, but ceded important territories of Germany's then allies namely the USSR, Hungary and Bulgaria, once with the coming to power of the Marhsal, officially allied with the Axis Powers in October 1940 and - under the pretext of recovering the amputated territories - entered the war in June 1941 on their side against the USSR, which would lead the Romanian army to the steppe North Caucasus and back.
