Description
Gorillaz is a virtual band that was created in 1998 by musician Damon Albarn and artist Jamie Hewlett. The idea behind the band was to create a group of animated characters who would serve as the members of the band, with Albarn providing the music and Hewlett designing the visuals. The band's debut album, "Gorillaz," was released in 2001 and was a critical and commercial success. The album featured a blend of hip-hop, rock, and electronic music and spawned hit singles such as "Clint Eastwood" and "19-2000." The band's unique style and innovative use of animation in music videos and live performances quickly gained them a large following.
