Description
Following the signing of the Organic Act in 1916, Governor R. Beauregard established the Mayflower Department of Parks and Wildlife to oversee and protect areas designated by the State Senate as Areas of Exceptional Natural Beauty or Cultural Significance. Today, their work continues to safeguard these state vistas, its flora, wildlife, and places of historical and cultural importance, along with the visitors to these parks. It is MANDATORY to be a citizen of the State of Mayflower to join this group.
